Bittersweet Celebration Mom & Daughter…. Her last baby, all grown up.
One of my clients sat quietly, turning the pages of her daughter’s senior album. Halfway through, she stopped, her hand resting on her favorite photo, eyes welling up. “I knew this day was coming,” she whispered, “but I didn’t really feel it until now.”
Cierra is their last child to leave home-the final cap and gown, the last senior portraits, the last volleyball game, the close of a beautiful season of parenting.
It was a celebration…and a bittersweet goodbye all in one. These portraits, and the memories we made creating them, meant everything to them both.
The mom imagined what this album and the portaits we created of this sweet fleeting season, would mean to her 10 years from now. These portraits will remind mom of the love, joy, laughter, tears, vacations, late night talks and all the beautiful memories they experienced over 18 years. They are a priceless reminder of her childhood and the love at home cheering her into adulthood. Stored up treasure.
