Is there a color that fits with your brand?
If hot yellow, pink or orange (or some other color) identifies your brand we may want to work that color in through backdrop, jewelry or clothing. It is also a great idea to emphasize your best feature; maybe a blouse color that makes your beautiful eyes pop, or a color that doesn’t wash you out. We discuss this when you book.
What to wear?
What color do you receive compliments in or what color fills your closet and makes you feel gooood? Let’s talk about that color! Some go for a solid color silky blouse, or a fun t-shirt under a blazer, maybe a timeless black turtle neck sweater, or a crisp button up classic shirt. Whatever you choose, make sure it fits well and isn’t wrinkled. This is not the time to show up in oversized, baggy clothes that can appear sloppy and casual.
Solid colors let us focus on your face. Subtle pattern may be ok, especially with a blazer. Consider your neckline (do you look better in a crew neck/tie or v-neck or scoop neck)?
Men: a button down shirt with our without tie or blazer can elevate your portrait, however, we want to consider the value/message you want your brand message to communicate.
Definitely consider covering your arms or legs, at least a little. If you need a full body shot, make sure you bring an awesome pair of shoes.
